The Key West 177 Skiff is a 17-foot-4-inch flat-bottom center console built for one purpose — getting into water that no other boat can reach. With just 1.5 degrees of deadrise and a draft between 4 and 8 inches, the 177 Skiff was designed from the keel up for skinny-water flats fishing. Weighing approximately 1,100 pounds dry with a narrow 7-foot beam, this nimble platform carried a single outboard between 50 and 90 horsepower and held 30 gallons of fuel in an under-floor tank. Key West produced the 177 Skiff from 2010 through 2018 in several variants including the popular SKV and Redfish Edition, and a loyal fleet of these flat-bottom hulls still poles the grass flats and tidal creeks of the Southeast coast.
