Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 207's lighter weight means it can shift slightly more on the trailer during strong gusts compared to a 5,000-pound boat. That is why our tie-down strap system is especially important on this model. The straps run from the cover's lower hem down to the trailer frame on both sides, anchoring the fabric independently of the boat's weight. As long as the straps are cinched snug and the boat is properly secured to the trailer with its own tie-downs, the cover holds firm even in sustained winds.
The engine pouch on the 207 cover is patterned for the 150 HP class outboards that this boat typically carries, such as the Yamaha F150 or Evinrude E-TEC 150. The pouch is intentionally loose and baggy, so it has clearance around the cowling on all sides. If your 207 runs a slightly different horsepower in the same physical cowling family, the pouch accommodates that without modification. The key is that the fabric drapes rather than conforms, so minor cowling size differences are absorbed naturally.
The 207 is one of the easiest Sea Hunt models to cover solo. Its 20-foot-7-inch length and 8-foot-3-inch beam are compact enough that you can reach across the boat from one side and work the entire cover bow-to-stern without needing a ladder or a second pair of hands. Most owners report 8-10 minutes for a full install once they know the snap sequence, and removal is even faster.
Our cover attaches to the underside edges of the T-top roof panel, whether that is a factory fiberglass hardtop or an aftermarket aluminum T-top frame. The attachment method is the same: the fabric connects to the roof perimeter and drapes down from there. When you order, we ask about your specific T-top configuration so the cover's upper attachment points match your frame dimensions. The roof itself always stays exposed above the cover.
Yes. The cover fully encloses the cockpit including the center console, so the console door, porta-potti compartment, and lockable storage are all shielded from rain, UV, and debris. Because the T-top roof stays exposed for ventilation, airflow passes through the cockpit and helps prevent the musty odor buildup that often develops inside enclosed console compartments on covered boats, especially in humid climates.
Yes, always remove the cover before trailering at highway speeds. Our T-top mooring cover is designed for stationary storage, not road travel. Highway wind loads at 55-65 mph far exceed what any mooring cover is built to handle, and the sustained flapping and pressure can damage fabric, seams, and attachment points. For trailering, use a dedicated travel cover or no cover at all. Our mooring cover folds compactly and stores easily in the 207's bow or console compartment while you tow.
The 207's 65-gallon tank is modest compared to the 96-gallon tanks on the Edge 24 or the 230-gallon capacity on the Gamefish 30, but the cover consideration is the same for all models: the fuel is stored under the deck and has no contact with the cover. What the smaller tank does mean is less total weight variation between empty and full — only about 390 pounds difference — so the boat's trailer stance stays more consistent regardless of fuel level, which gives you a more predictable cover drape every time.
A traditional boat cover sits directly on the boat, often resting on the windshield, console, and any mounted accessories, which can cause scuffing and pressure damage. A T-top mooring cover instead attaches to the underside of the T-top roof frame and hangs from that elevated point, keeping the fabric off all interior surfaces. The T-top roof stays open above for ventilation. This design protects your cockpit, helm, and engine without touching them, and the airflow prevents the moisture buildup that traditional covers are notorious for.
For a 20-foot boat like the Triton 207, both options work well and the cost difference is more modest than on larger boats. The 9-ounce marine canvas is our best seller and provides solid UV and water protection for most storage situations. Sunbrella makes the most sense if your 207 sits in direct sun year-round with no shade structure. If the boat goes under a carport or covered slip between trips, the 9-ounce canvas gives you excellent protection at a lower price point.
We need your model year, whether you have a factory T-top or an aftermarket frame, the approximate roof dimensions, and your engine make and horsepower. The Triton 207 was produced from 2006 through 2012 before being renamed, and T-top configurations vary across those model years. If you have added any aftermarket electronics, antennas, or accessories to the T-top or console, mention those when ordering so we can verify clearance.

Sea Hunt 207 T-Top Boat Cover

The Sea Hunt 207 T-Top is a proven offshore fishing platform that has served its owners well through generations of use. At approximately 20 feet 7 inches in length with an 8’3″ beam, the 207 T-Top weighs 2,050 pounds dry and is rated to accept a maximum 150HP engine, typically a Yamaha F150 or equivalent. The boat’s 65-gallon fuel capacity supports extended range, and the modified-V hull with a 16-degree deadrise delivers responsive handling, a comfortable ride in moderate seas, and solid fuel economy. The T-top canopy provides sun and weather protection, making the 207 a versatile platform for fishing and coastal cruising.

Our cover for the 207 T-Top is precision-engineered for this specific hull design and generation. The fabric attaches at the underside edge of the T-top roof panel with just 1-2 inches of visible hardware between fabric and roof. From that point, the cover drapes around the T-top support posts—which remain almost entirely hidden within the fabric—and extends to the hull’s chine, where the modified-V topsides curve inward toward the narrower V-bottom. The result is a protective, wide-low mound silhouette that accommodates the 207’s modest 20’7” length while providing comprehensive hull coverage down to the waterline transition.

Modified-V Hull Geometry and Precise Fitting

The 207 T-Top’s modified-V hull features a V-shaped profile at the bow that transitions gradually to a flatter bottom toward the stern. This design provides an excellent balance of directional control, ride comfort, and fuel efficiency. Our cover is carefully contoured to follow the modified-V geometry exactly, ensuring the fabric conforms to every curve without wrinkling or sagging. The 16-degree deadrise contributes to the 207’s responsive handling and efficient planing characteristics—qualities that our cover protection helps preserve season after season.

Fabric Options for Value and Durability

For the 207 T-Top, we recommend either 7 oz. or 9 oz. polyester, depending on your storage environment and maintenance approach. The 7 oz. polyester offers affordable, lightweight protection with solution-dyed fiber that won’t color-transfer to gel coat. The 9 oz. polyester delivers heavier-duty protection with enhanced abrasion resistance, particularly valuable if your boat faces salt spray, high winds, or extended storage. Sunbrella acrylic is also available for those seeking premium UV protection and color stability. All fabrics are breathable and mildew-resistant.

Anchoring and Secure Storage

The 207 T-Top cover ships with all tie-down straps, D-ring anchors, and hardware needed for professional installation. The multi-point tie-down system runs from the cover’s bottom perimeter to anchor points on your trailer frame and bunks, keeping the fabric taut and secure during towing and storage. The 20’7” length and 8’3” beam mean this boat has a moderate footprint; proper tie-down ensures reliable performance. Installation typically takes 20-25 minutes with our photographic instructions.
