Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The BX 25 FS has one of the shallowest drafts in the Sea Hunt lineup at just 15 inches, which means a flatter hull bottom and wider beam-to-depth ratio than deeper-V offshore boats. Our cover is patterned to this specific hull geometry so the fabric follows the flat running surface and gentle deadrise without excess material bunching underneath. The lower overall profile also means the cover sits closer to the trailer, reducing wind catch during storage.
The cover is designed to drape over the entire bow area, including the trolling motor mounting plate and pre-wired harness. You should stow the trolling motor in its trailering position before installing the cover. The fabric clears the mount hardware and does not press against the wiring. If you run a removable trolling motor, simply remove it before covering and the bow section lays flat.
The BX 25 FS features an integrated fiberglass T-top with a tempered glass enclosure and electric actuator for the front window. Our cover attaches to the underside edges of the T-top roof panel, leaving the roof fully exposed. The glass enclosure sits inside the covered area below the attachment line, so it is fully protected from UV, rain, and debris without the cover contacting the glass surface directly.
The BX 25 FS supports up to 350 HP, which typically means a larger cowling than boats in the 150-250 HP range. Our engine pouch is sized for the full range of outboards the BX 25 FS can carry, creating a loose baggy drape around even a Yamaha F350 cowling. The pouch is one continuous piece with the main cover and cinches at the bottom with gathering straps, so there is no tight-fitting cap that could scratch the cowling finish.
No. The raised bow and stern casting platforms on the BX 25 FS are part of the hull's molded deck structure, so they sit well below the T-top frame where the cover attaches. The cover drapes over these platforms the same way it covers the cockpit sole. Because the platforms are flat and flush, they do not create pressure points or sharp angles that could stress the fabric.
Trim tabs should be retracted to their neutral or fully-up position before covering. The Bennett tabs on the BX 25 FS are mounted at the transom below the waterline, so they sit well below the cover's lower hem line and typically do not contact the fabric at all. However, leaving them extended can slightly alter the boat's resting angle on the trailer, which can affect how evenly the cover drapes across the hull.
The 68-gallon tank should be at your preferred storage level before covering. A full tank adds roughly 410 pounds to the BX 25 FS's 3,700-pound dry weight, which actually improves trailer stability and gives the cover a more consistent drape. The tank is located under the deck, so fuel level has no direct effect on the cover. What matters more is that the boat sits level on the trailer bunks so the cover hangs evenly on both sides.
A T-top mooring cover attaches to the underside edges of your T-top roof and drapes down to enclose the cockpit, console, and outboard engine while the roof stays exposed for ventilation. Snap-on canvas enclosures seal everything tight, which traps humidity and accelerates mildew growth on upholstery and corrosion on hardware. The open roof line on our mooring cover creates natural airflow that keeps the interior significantly drier between uses, which is especially valuable for bay boats like the BX 25 FS that frequently operate in humid coastal and marsh environments.
The 9-ounce marine canvas offers strong UV protection and water resistance at an accessible price and is our most popular seller. Sunbrella is a premium solution-dyed acrylic that holds its color longer and resists UV degradation over more seasons of direct sun exposure. Both use the same reinforced stitching and stainless steel snap hardware. For a BX 25 FS that gets rinsed and stored under a carport, the 9-ounce canvas is an excellent choice. For full-time uncovered outdoor storage in Florida or Gulf Coast sun, Sunbrella is worth the upgrade.
We need your boat's model year, the type of T-top installed (factory integrated fiberglass or aftermarket aluminum frame), approximate T-top roof dimensions, and your engine horsepower and make. This lets us match the cover pattern to your exact hull and frame configuration. If you have added aftermarket accessories like outriggers, antenna mounts, or a radar pod on the T-top, mention those as well so we can account for any clearance needs.

Sea Hunt 25 BXFS T-Top Boat Cover — Precision Fit for the Bay Crossover

The Sea Hunt BX 25 FS bridges the gap between a hardcore bay boat and a comfortable family cruiser, and it needs a cover that protects every inch of that versatility. This custom-fitted T-top mooring cover is built to the BX 25 FS’s exact 25’3″ length and 8’6″ beam, wrapping securely around the factory T-top frame and draping down to shield 85–90% of the hull sides while fully enclosing the outboard engine.

Bay-Crossover Hull Design

The BX 25 FS runs on a wide, stable modified-vee hull with a shallow draft that lets you work skinny water and still handle open-bay chop. With a Yamaha F300 hanging off the transom, 90+ gallons of fuel, and a livewell system built for tournament use, there’s a lot of hardware to protect. Our cover drapes from the T-top roof down past the gunwales, keeping the console, leaning post, bow seating, rod holders, and electronics shielded from UV, rain, salt spray, and airborne debris.

Full T-Top Enclosure

The cover attaches to the underside edges of the factory T-top frame using stainless steel snaps — no drilling or permanent modifications required. The T-top roof stays fully exposed for ventilation, while the side curtains wrap the entire cockpit and engine compartment. Most owners have the cover on or off in under five minutes once the initial snap placement is done.

Fabric and Construction

Choose from 9 oz marine-grade canvas (our most popular option) or Sunbrella solution-dyed acrylic — both engineered for years of saltwater UV exposure with reinforced stitching at every stress point.
