The pouch is intentionally baggy so it clears both powerheads and the gap between them without pressing against either cowling. Cinch straps at the bottom gather the fabric below the lower units.
Yes. The side entry doors and transom walk-through are recessed features molded into the gunwale and transom structure. Because the cover drapes from the T-top frame down over the outside of the hull, these features sit well inside the covered perimeter. The cover does not need cutouts or special flaps for them. When you remove the cover, the doors function normally with no hardware modifications needed.
The Escape 27 carries 144 gallons of fuel, which at full capacity adds roughly 865 pounds to the boat's 5,100-pound dry weight. This is a substantial amount that affects tongue weight and trailer balance, so most owners store with partial fuel. Regardless of fuel level, the cover fits the same because it attaches to the T-top frame and trailer frame, not the hull waterline.
