Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

*The warranty periods above are provided by the fabric manufacturer and cover the material itself. For details on what’s included in the warranty for your completed cover, please see our warranty page.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Ken Craft 239 Bay Rider cover is available in 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric or premium Sunbrella. The 9oz option provides 5 to 7 years of UV and weather protection, while the Sunbrella upgrade extends that to 8 to 10 years with superior fade resistance. Both are water-repellent, mildew-resistant, and double-stitched.
The cover forms a single tent-like canopy that peaks at the center console and slopes down over the entire boat in all directions. The fabric drapes over the full 8'6" beam and completely encloses the cockpit, seating, and outboard engine beneath one continuous cover.
Installation takes under five minutes. Drape the cover so it peaks at the console, spread the fabric evenly over the bow, gunwales, and transom, then secure the adjustable strap-and-buckle system at the rubrail. One person can handle it without tools.
Yes. The cover is reinforced with heavy-duty stitching at all stress points and uses an adjustable strap-and-buckle system that holds tight at highway speeds. No snaps or grommets are used, eliminating corrosion-prone hardware.
Yes. The center console cover fully encloses the entire boat including the outboard motor at the transom. The console electronics, helm station, GPS, fishfinder, livewell, and all deck hardware are completely shielded from UV, rain, salt spray, and debris.
The Ken Craft 239 Bay Rider center console cover includes a 2-year workmanship warranty covering stitching, seams, and hardware. Every seam is double-stitched with UV-resistant thread for long-term durability.
The cover is water-repellent rather than fully waterproof. The fabric sheds rain effectively while remaining breathable, which prevents trapped moisture and mildew from forming underneath — an important feature in humid coastal environments where Ken Craft boats are typically stored.
The cover is patterned for the Ken Craft 239 Bay Rider with standard factory console and deck configuration. If your 239 Bay Rider has significant aftermarket modifications, contact us with your model year and details for fitment verification.
The cover is available in multiple solution-dyed colors including Black, Navy, and Charcoal. Solution-dyeing embeds the color into each fiber before weaving, ensuring the fabric resists fading even after years of direct sunlight exposure.
Shipping is a flat rate per cover with 1 to 2 business day delivery. The cover ships directly to your home or marina, ready for immediate installation.

Ken Craft 239 Bay Rider Center Console Boat Cover — Carolina-Built Bay Boat Deserves Year-Round Defense

The Ken Craft 239 Bay Rider is a 23’5″ center console bay boat built in North Carolina for versatile inshore and nearshore fishing. With an 8’6″ beam, 2,400 lbs dry weight, and a 16-degree deadrise, the 239 Bay Rider handles open water chop while still running shallow enough for protected bays and estuaries. A single outboard up to 300 HP paired with 70 gallons of fuel gives this boat serious range, and the all-around fishing layout makes it equally capable chasing drum in the sound or bottom fishing nearshore structure. Our custom center console cover forms a single tent-like shape that peaks at the console and slopes to the gunwales in all directions, completely enclosing the cockpit, console, seating, and outboard engine in one weatherproof canopy. Whether the 239 Bay Rider sits on a trailer or at a dock slip, this cover keeps every surface protected from sun, salt, and storms. See our selection of T-Top boat covers for models equipped with hardtop frames.

Tailored to the 239 Bay Rider’s Versatile Fishing Layout

The Ken Craft 239 Bay Rider cover is patterned for this model’s specific deck geometry — the center console helm station, forward casting deck, aft jump seats, transom livewell, and gunwale-mounted rod holders are all accounted for. The cover peaks at the console, then drapes down smoothly over the full 8’6″ beam to the rubrail, completely enclosing the 300 HP outboard at the transom. The adjustable strap-and-buckle system cinches tight without any snaps or grommets that corrode in Carolina salt air. One person can install the cover in under five minutes, and the reinforced fit holds secure at highway trailering speeds. For another versatile inshore center console, see our Champion 20 center console cover — a similarly capable fishing platform.

Protection That Matches Ken Craft Quality

Ken Craft earned a loyal following in the Carolinas by building solid, no-nonsense fishing boats, and the 239 Bay Rider’s cover should hold up to the same standard. Our 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric delivers 5 to 7 years of UV and weather protection — a practical choice for trailer-stored boats or seasonal use. For boats left outdoors year-round in coastal conditions, our Sunbrella marine fabric upgrade provides 8 to 10 years of service life with exceptional color retention. Both fabrics are water-repellent, mildew-resistant, and breathable to prevent condensation damage. Double-stitched seams with UV-resistant thread and a 2-year workmanship warranty come standard. Bay boat anglers who fish similar water may also want to explore the Pathfinder 2400 TRS center console cover — another proven nearshore platform.
