The Key West 176 Sportsman is a 17-foot-7-inch center console that served as the mid-range workhorse of Key West’s Sportsman series for over a decade. With a 7-foot-4-inch beam, approximately 1,300 pounds dry weight, and 15 degrees of deadrise, the 176 Sportsman handled a single outboard between 90 and 140 horsepower while carrying up to 40 gallons of fuel. This modified-V hull delivered a solid mix of shallow-water access and enough deadrise to handle light chop on nearshore runs. Key West produced the 176 Sportsman from roughly 2006 through 2020, and a strong fleet of these boats continues to fish coastal waters from the Carolinas to the Keys.
