7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.
9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.
Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.
Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. This cover is custom-patterned specifically for the Scout 20 Bay center console. It wraps the entire hull in one smooth piece, conforming to the 20 Bay's console profile, bow shape, and transom geometry for complete full-hull protection.
9.25 oz Sunbrella acrylic marine fabric — the industry benchmark for marine covers. It blocks over 98% of UV rays, resists mildew and fading, and breathes to prevent moisture buildup underneath.
The Scout 20 Bay cover is available in 9oz solution-dyed polyester in Navy or Black, 7oz polyester in Black, or premium Sunbrella acrylic in Marine Blue, Black, or Smoke. Choose your fabric and color in the order options above.
The 20 Bay is a versatile mid-size bay boat with a 20'0" LOA, approximately 8'0" beam, and up to 150 HP — purpose-built for shallow tidal systems with the stability to cross open bays. The NuV3 hull delivers a dry, efficient ride that handles both skinny-water flats and moderate chop. This cover protects that investment between trips.
No — please remove the cover before towing your Scout 20 Bay. Our covers are not designed to be trailered: towing with the cover on can cause severe damage to the cover and voids the warranty. The cover is designed for storage only — on a trailer, boat lift, dry stack, or jet dock — and comes off in minutes at the ramp.
Adjustable straps, quick-release buckles, and shock cord hems make installation a one-person job that takes just a few minutes. No tools required — just drape, position, and cinch.
Full coverage includes the console, electronics, rod holders, livewells, fish boxes, bow area, seating, gunwale hardware, and all deck accessories. The cover extends past the transom to protect the engine cowling from UV and salt corrosion.
Your Scout 20 Bay cover is backed by our manufacturer's warranty for the original purchaser. Materials and workmanship — stitching, straps, buckles, zippers, and other hardware — are covered for 1 year from the purchase date. Fabric is covered for 3 years on 7oz, 5 years on black or navy 9oz, and 6 years on Sunbrella. Covered defects are repaired or replaced after you contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. The warranty does not cover improper use, accident or negligence, unauthorized modifications, improper care, mold or mildew, incorrectly placed orders, theft or loss, or acts of God — and traveling with the cover on or using it in the water voids the warranty. See our Warranty page for full details.
UV radiation is the primary cause of gel coat oxidation and chalking. Our solution-dyed fabric blocks direct UV exposure, significantly slowing the oxidation process and preserving the 20 Bay's glossy finish. Boats stored without covers typically show visible gel coat degradation within 2-3 seasons of outdoor exposure.

Scout 20 Bay Center Console Boat Cover
The Scout 20 Bay is a versatile 20’0″ bay-style center console with approximately an 8’0″ beam and up to 150 HP — a mid-size platform designed for boaters who fish shallow tidal systems but still need the stability and comfort to cross open bays. The “Bay” designation in Scout’s lineup signals a hull optimized for skinny-water access: shallower draft, efficient planing characteristics, and the kind of nimble handling that makes working through marsh creeks and tidal flats productive rather than stressful. Scout builds the 20 Bay in Summerville, South Carolina, on the NuV3 triple-stepped hull with foam-filled fiberglass construction — delivering a dry, stable ride that belies the boat’s compact dimensions. At 20’0″, the 20 Bay is large enough to fish confidently in open bays yet compact enough to trailer and launch without hassle, hitting the sweet spot that bay boat buyers are looking for.
A Perfect Fit custom center console cover protects the 20 Bay’s cockpit, console, electronics, rod holders, livewells, and deck hardware from the constant UV, salt, and weather exposure that bay boats face. The cover wraps the entire hull in one smooth piece, conforming to the 20 Bay’s console profile, bow shape, and transom geometry. Choose between solution-dyed marine fabric (5–7 years) or premium Sunbrella acrylic (8–10 years), both secured by reinforced stitching, hem cord at the rubrail, and adjustable tie-down straps patterned to the 20 Bay’s specific hull dimensions. Whether stored on a trailer, dock lift, or dry stack rack, the cover maintains a taut fit that sheds water and resists wind.
Bay Boat Versatility, Scout Build Quality
Bay boats work the toughest inshore environments — salt flats, oyster-studded creeks, sun-baked tidal marshes where UV exposure is constant and corrosion is relentless. The 20 Bay’s NuV3 hull handles those environments with confidence, but the gel coat, electronics, upholstery, and hardware above the waterline take a beating between trips. A Perfect Fit cover acts as the first line of defense, blocking direct UV that causes gel coat oxidation and chalking, preventing salt crystal accumulation on electronics and hardware, and keeping the cockpit dry to discourage mold and mildew growth. The result is a 20 Bay that looks better, lasts longer, and holds more resale value over time.
