Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

*The warranty periods above are provided by the fabric manufacturer and cover the material itself. For details on what’s included in the warranty for your completed cover, please see our warranty page.

Frequently Asked Questions

The standard Bluewater 2550 cover is made from 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric — a tightly woven polyester that resists UV fading, mildew, and water penetration for 5 to 7 years of reliable service. We also offer a premium Sunbrella acrylic option rated for 8 to 10 years. Both fabrics are solution-dyed, meaning the pigment is embedded in the fiber during manufacturing rather than applied to the surface, which delivers superior fade resistance over time.
Yes. The cover is pattern-cut specifically for the Bluewater 2550's hull dimensions and T-Top frame. It wraps the hull below the hardtop with reinforced cutouts that seat snugly around the T-Top support legs. The hardtop roof remains exposed on top while everything beneath — console, leaning post, seating, fishboxes, rod storage, and livewells — is fully enclosed.
One person can install the Bluewater 2550 cover in under five minutes. Drape the cover over the hull beneath the T-Top hardtop, align the reinforced cutouts with the T-Top support legs, and secure the adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs along the rubrail. No tools or additional hardware needed.
Yes. The Bluewater 2550 cover is reinforced for highway-speed trailering. The adjustable tie-down straps and hem cord hold the fabric securely in place during towing, so you can transport your 2550 from the boat ramp to your driveway without removing the cover.
Absolutely. The Bluewater 2550 cover creates a complete barrier over the cockpit, shielding helm electronics, GPS, fishfinder, radar display, VHF radio, seat cushions, and leaning post upholstery from UV exposure, rain, salt spray, bird droppings, and wind-blown debris. Breathable fabric construction prevents condensation from forming underneath.
Every Bluewater 2550 cover ships with a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The 9oz solution-dyed fabric typically lasts 5 to 7 years, and the Sunbrella acrylic option delivers 8 to 10 years of service — both well beyond the warranty period.
The Bluewater 2550 cover is water-resistant with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish that causes rain and spray to bead up and shed off the fabric. It is breathable by design, not fully waterproof, so trapped moisture and humidity can escape from beneath the cover rather than creating the conditions for mildew growth and condensation inside the cockpit.
The cover fits all standard production years of the Bluewater 2550 equipped with a factory T-Top. Bluewater's flagship hull dimensions and T-Top mounting geometry have remained consistent across production runs, delivering a precise fit for any model year.
The 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric is available in Navy, Black, and Charcoal. Upgrading to the Sunbrella acrylic option unlocks an expanded color palette with additional shades. All colors are solution-dyed to resist fading far longer than conventionally dyed fabrics.
Shipping is a $30 flat rate per cover to anywhere in the continental United States. Orders typically ship within 1 to 2 business days and arrive in a compact folded package ready for storage.

Bluewater 2550 T-Top Boat Cover — Flagship Offshore Single-Engine, Sealed Tight

The Bluewater 2550 is the flagship single-engine center console in the Bluewater Sportfishing lineup — a 27-foot-6-inch offshore platform built in Seminole, Florida, that represents everything the brand stands for: steep deadrise, Carolina-flare bow geometry, hand-laid fiberglass construction, and the kind of rough-water ride quality that makes experienced offshore anglers loyal to the name. At approximately 27’6″ LOA (with bracket) with an 8’6″ beam, a dry weight around 4,500 lbs, and a single outboard rated up to 400 HP fed by a 178-gallon fuel tank, the 2550 has the range and power to run to bluewater structure and fish all day on a single tank. Its 24-degree deadrise and approximately 18-inch draft deliver a dry, predictable ride through the steep head seas that define serious offshore conditions. Our custom-fitted T-Top cover for the Bluewater 2550 wraps the entire cockpit beneath the hardtop, protecting the console, leaning post, seating, rod storage, fishboxes, and all interior surfaces from UV exposure, salt corrosion, rain, and wind-driven debris. Find dedicated protection for every model in the family at our Bluewater boat covers brand page.

Tailored to the 2550’s Full-Size Offshore Cockpit

This cover wraps beneath the T-Top hardtop and extends down to the rubrail on all sides, with reinforced cutouts that seat precisely around the T-Top support legs on this full-size offshore hull. The 2550’s 8’6″ beam is the widest in the Bluewater center console lineup, creating a spacious cockpit with room for a full fishing crew and all the gear that goes with serious offshore work. The cover’s pattern follows every contour of that layout — the forward seating area, center console with full electronics suite, leaning post, insulated fishboxes, rod storage, livewells, and transom work area are all sealed beneath a taut, water-shedding canopy. Adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs lock at the rubrail while a hem cord completes the perimeter seal. One person can handle the full installation in under five minutes — drape, align the T-Top leg cutouts, secure the straps, and the boat is protected. The cover is reinforced for highway-speed trailering, keeping the 2550 secure during transport to offshore launch points and fishing destinations. Protection Worthy of Bluewater’s Most Capable Hull

The 2550 is the boat Bluewater builds for anglers who want maximum offshore capability from a single-engine platform — 400 HP, 178 gallons of fuel, 24-degree deadrise, and a hand-laid hull that is denser and more rigid than chopper-gun alternatives. Every component on this flagship hull is an investment, from the multifunction helm electronics to the gel coat to the insulated fishbox liners, and leaving any of it exposed to UV, salt, and weather accelerates depreciation on a boat that commands a premium in its segment. Our 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric provides 5 to 7 years of UV resistance, water repellency, and mildew protection with double-stitched seams and UV-resistant thread at every junction. For owners who want to maximize the cover’s lifespan alongside the boat’s long-term value, the premium Sunbrella acrylic option delivers 8 to 10 years of the same breathable, solution-dyed performance. Every cover ships with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. For another capable offshore platform in this size range, explore the Tidewater 252CC T-Top cover built for a proven 25-foot center console.
