Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Dusky 233 T-Top cover is available in three fabric options: 9oz solution-dyed polyester for heavy-duty everyday protection, a lighter 7oz option for budget-friendly coverage, and premium Sunbrella acrylic for maximum UV resistance and longevity. All fabrics are solution-dyed — the pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied afterward — so the cover won’t fade, bleed, or transfer dye onto your Dusky 233’s gel coat.
Yes. The Dusky 233 T-Top cover is pattern-cut with reinforced cutouts that wrap cleanly around the T-Top legs, allowing the cover to drape over the entire hull — console, leaning post, rod holders, bow cushions, and cockpit — while the hardtop remains exposed above. The cutouts are reinforced with double-stitched seams to prevent fraying at the T-Top contact points.
Installation takes under five minutes and can be done solo. Drape the cover over the Dusky 233’s hull, thread the hem cord along the rubrail for a snug baseline fit, and secure with the adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs. No tools required. The 233’s center console layout makes draping straightforward — just unfold from bow to stern and cinch down.
Yes. The Dusky 233 T-Top cover is reinforced for trailering at highway speeds. The hem cord locks along the rubrail and the adjustable tie-down straps keep the cover taut and flutter-free during transit. With the 233’s manageable 13-inch draft, you can launch and load at virtually any ramp without removing the cover until you’re ready to fish.
Yes. The cover creates a complete barrier over the Dusky 233’s cockpit — shielding your console-mounted electronics, GPS, fish finder, VHF radio, leaning post cushions, bow cushions, and all upholstery from UV rays, rain, salt spray, bird droppings, and airborne debris. The breathable fabric allows trapped moisture to vent out naturally, reducing mildew risk even in humid marina environments.
Every Dusky 233 T-Top cover includes a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Beyond the warranty, the fabric itself is built for long-term performance: the 9oz solution-dyed polyester is rated for 5–7 years, while the Sunbrella acrylic option is rated for 8–10 years of continuous UV and weather exposure.
The cover is water-resistant with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish that causes rain and spray to bead up and roll off the surface. It’s designed to breathe rather than seal completely — this allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, which is essential for preventing mildew on your Dusky 233’s gel coat and upholstery, especially during long-term storage in humid climates.
Yes. This cover is designed to fit the Dusky 233 across its standard production run with the factory T-Top configuration. The 233 has been built on the same hull platform throughout its production life. If your boat has significant aftermarket modifications that change the hull profile, contact us to confirm fitment before ordering.
The 9oz solution-dyed polyester is available in Navy, Black, and Charcoal — the three most popular marine cover colors. The premium Sunbrella acrylic option includes additional color choices for owners who want a specific look. All colors are solution-dyed for long-term fade resistance under constant sun exposure.
Shipping is a $30 flat rate per cover to anywhere in the continental United States. Orders typically ship within 1–2 business days, getting your Dusky 233 cover to your door quickly and ready to install.

Dusky 233 T-Top Boat Cover — Inshore-to-Offshore Versatility Under Wraps

The Dusky 233 bridges the gap between bay boat agility and offshore confidence — a 23-foot hand-laid fiberglass center console with an 8-foot beam, 20-degree deadrise, and approximately 3,200 lbs of Carolina flare hull built to run dry in conditions that send lighter boats back to the dock. Dusky Marine has been building every hull by hand in Dania Beach, Florida since 1967 — a factory-direct operation with no dealerships, where every boat is custom-built to order and the builder’s name is on the line with every delivery. A T-Top boat cover from Perfect Fit is pattern-cut to match the 233’s specific hull dimensions, protecting your console, electronics, leaning post, and cockpit from the UV, salt, and weather that South Florida dishes out year-round.

Tailored to the 233’s Crossover Fishing Platform

The Dusky 233 is built for anglers who fish the backcountry flats one morning and run offshore the next — a versatile layout with a center console, pronounced bow for rough-water safety, integrated rod holders, a dedicated livewell and baitwell system, and enough fuel capacity (100–120 gallons) to make extended offshore runs without anxiety. This cover is pattern-cut with reinforced cutouts that fit cleanly around the T-Top legs, draping over the console, leaning post, bow cushions, and cockpit while leaving the hardtop exposed. The strap-and-buckle system installs in under five minutes solo — drape, thread the hem cord along the rubrail, cinch the tie-downs, and you’re covered. Reinforced for trailering at highway speeds, with the 233’s 13-inch draft providing easy ramp access at any launch. For the flagship of the Dusky lineup, check out the Dusky 252 T-Top cover — same precision fit on a larger offshore platform.

Protection That Matches Dusky’s Hand-Laid Quality

Dusky builds every 233 hull with their signature three-piece hand-laid fiberglass construction — more layup per square foot than competitors use in boats costing twice as much. That investment in the hull deserves fabric that holds up just as long. The 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric delivers heavy-duty, water-repellent protection with a 5–7 year lifespan and a DWR finish that beads water on contact. For owners who want maximum longevity, the premium Sunbrella acrylic option extends coverage to 8–10 years with superior fade resistance and breathability. Both options feature mildew-resistant treatment and double-stitched seams, and every cover includes a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Running a similar-sized offshore rig from another builder? The Mako 234 T-Top cover delivers the same custom-fit precision for that platform.
