7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.
9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.
Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.
Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.
*The warranty periods above are provided by the fabric manufacturer and cover the material itself. For details on what’s included in the warranty for your completed cover, please see our warranty page.

Frequently Asked Questions
The 388 carries a 450-gallon fuel tank — the largest in the EdgeWater lineup — on a 37'10" platform with triple outboards up to 1,050 HP. At an efficient cruise, that's 350+ nautical miles of working range. This is a boat designed for multi-day offshore expeditions to distant canyons, international fishing grounds, and remote reef systems where fuel range is the limiting factor.
At 9,600 lbs dry versus the 370's 15,600 lbs, the 388 reflects different construction specifications and standard equipment levels. The lighter weight translates to better fuel efficiency, higher top speed, and a different hull character — the 388 is the faster, more nimble of the two flagship platforms while still delivering the structural integrity of SPI vacuum-infused construction.
Our pattern includes a wide aft section engineered for the 388's three-engine transom. The fabric extends past the transom to wrap all three engine cowlings as one continuous covering — no separate engine boots or caps. All three lower units remain visible below the fabric edge. The pattern is specific to the 388's engine spacing and transom dimensions.
The fuel tanks are housed below deck within the SPI hull, inherently protected. Our cover protects all deck-level fuel system components — fill plates, vent fittings, fuel management gauges, and associated plumbing — from UV degradation and salt corrosion. On a boat with this much fuel capacity, keeping fuel system hardware in perfect condition is critical for safety and reliability.
The 388 has been succeeded by newer models in EdgeWater's largest-boat lineup. However, the 388 established EdgeWater's reputation in the 38-foot class and hundreds remain actively fished in serious offshore programs. Our cover patterns are maintained for all EdgeWater models regardless of production status — your 388 gets the same custom-fit quality as a current-year model.
For a 388 in a permanent marina slip — especially in saltwater environments from South Florida to the Chesapeake — premium Sunbrella acrylic is the clear choice. The 8–10 year lifespan offsets the higher upfront cost when you consider the replacement cycle. For seasonal boaters who trailer between marina and storage, standard solution-dyed fabric at 5–7 years provides excellent value.
Rinse with fresh water every two weeks minimum — weekly during summer or heavy salt-spray conditions. Full wash with mild soap twice per season. Inspect all tie-down points monthly, paying special attention to the triple-engine wrap and the widest beam sections where wind stress is highest. Check for chafing at hardware contact points twice per season.
The stern section of the cover lifts and folds forward to expose all three outboard engines for maintenance, oil checks, and filter changes. The design allows routine engine service without stripping the entire cover from the boat.
The 388's slightly narrower beam creates a different hull characteristic — marginally less initial stability at rest but potentially better performance through head seas and a slightly easier motion in a chop. Both beams far exceed standard trailering limits, making both boats marina-only platforms. Our cover patterns account for the specific beam dimensions of each model.
The 388 sits at the top of EdgeWater's T-Top lineup. The chain runs from the compact Heritage 185 all the way up through the 208, mid-size 225 through 268, the large 280CC through 340, and the flagships 370 and 388. Perfect Fit covers every model in the chain with the same custom-fit quality — from an 18-foot Heritage to this 38-foot offshore flagship.
EdgeWater 388 T-Top Boat Cover
The EdgeWater 388 is the longest-range platform in the EdgeWater fleet — 37’10” of SPI vacuum-infused hull carrying triple outboards up to 1,050 HP and a massive 450-gallon fuel tank that turns distant offshore canyons into routine fishing grounds. At 9,600 lbs dry on an 11’0” beam, the 388 combines remarkable lightness with the structural integrity of one-piece, foam-filled, unsinkable construction. This is a boat built for anglers who measure fishing trips in days, not hours.
A Perfect Fit T-Top cover protects the 388’s complete offshore package — tournament livewells, oversized fish boxes, full rigging station, walk-in console, comprehensive helm electronics, and all three outboard engines — in UV-resistant solution-dyed marine fabric. Our triple-engine pattern is engineered for the 388’s specific transom width and engine spacing, with a heavy-duty tie-down system built for the wind loads that a 38-foot boat encounters at open-water marina docks year-round.
Maximum Range, Maximum Protection
The 388’s 450-gallon fuel capacity means this boat goes where others can’t — and everything onboard earns protection that matches the investment. Between expeditions, the 388 sits at marina docks where salt, UV, and weather never stop working. Our T-Top cover eliminates that damage window across every surface — gel coat, electronics, engine hardware, rigging station, and the premium finishes that define EdgeWater’s flagship quality.
