Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Everglades 290 Pilot is 28'7" to 29' LOA with a 9'9" beam and 21-degree transom deadrise. Our custom T-Top cover wraps the hull below the hardtop frame and is patterned specifically for the 290 Pilot's unique enclosed pilothouse profile, wraparound windshield, and twin-engine transom. We verify your T-Top dimensions before production to ensure a precise fit.
The 290 Pilot features an enclosed pilothouse — Everglades calls it the Command Console — with a wraparound windshield, removable side doors, and climate-controlled helm area. The standard 290 has an open center console layout. The 290 Pilot won the 2005 NMMA Innovation Award for this design. Our cover is patterned specifically for the Pilot's enclosed pilothouse profile, which differs significantly from the standard 290's dimensions.
The 290 Pilot is a classic Everglades model no longer in current production — but it remains one of the most sought-after pilothouse boats on the used market. RAMCAP construction means these hulls last virtually forever, which is why owners invest in quality protection. Our cover is custom-patterned to the 290 Pilot's exact enclosed pilothouse dimensions.
Yes. The 290 Pilot's defining feature is its enclosed Command Console with wraparound windshield and removable side doors. Our cover is specifically patterned to fit over this pilothouse profile — the cover drapes cleanly over the windshield and door frames without bunching or leaving gaps. The hardtop remains exposed while everything below is fully protected.
The 290 Pilot carries 200 gallons of fuel — serious offshore range for a 29-footer powered by twin 225 HP Honda outboards. Combined with a top speed near 50 mph, you get both performance and range for long-distance runs. Our T-Top cover protects your investment between trips, keeping UV and salt off the pilothouse windshield and deck hardware.
RAMCAP is Everglades' patented process that bonds closed-cell foam between hull and liner into a single unsinkable structure — zero wood anywhere. For the 290 Pilot, this means a hull that won't rot, won't delaminate, and maintains exact factory dimensions for decades. A cover patterned to the 290 Pilot's RAMCAP hull maintains its fit indefinitely because the hull itself never changes shape.
Yes. The 290 Pilot features an enclosed marine head with a china-bowl toilet inside the pilothouse — a significant upgrade over the portable heads found in most boats this size. This feature makes the 290 Pilot exceptionally comfortable for extended offshore trips. Our cover wraps everything below the hardtop, protecting the entire pilothouse area and head compartment from the elements.
Yes. At approximately 5,000 lbs dry weight with a 9'9" beam, the 290 Pilot requires a heavy-duty trailer and a capable tow vehicle. Our cover's reinforced hem cord and adjustable tie-down straps keep the fabric secure at highway speeds. The cover drapes smoothly over the pilothouse profile for clean trailering aerodynamics.
We offer two premium fabrics: our 9oz solution-dyed marine polyester (5–7 year lifespan) and Sunbrella acrylic (8–10 year lifespan). Both resist UV degradation, water penetration, and mold growth. For a premium boat like the 290 Pilot — especially one with an enclosed pilothouse and expensive windshield glass — many owners choose Sunbrella for maximum longevity.
We offer Black, Charcoal, and Navy — all chosen to complement Everglades' premium gel-coat finishes. Each color is available in both 9oz solution-dyed and Sunbrella acrylic fabric. The color is consistent throughout the fabric (solution-dyed), so it won't fade to a different shade over time.

Everglades 290 Pilot T-Top Boat Cover — NMMA Award-Winning Pilothouse Protection

The Everglades 290 Pilot isn’t just another center console — it’s the boat that won the 2005 NMMA Innovation Award for its groundbreaking enclosed pilothouse design. With RAMCAP® unsinkable construction, twin 225 HP Honda outboards, and a Command Console that changed what anglers expect from a 29-footer, the 290 Pilot deserves protection engineered to its exact specifications. Our custom T-Top cover wraps the hull below the hardtop — including that signature wraparound windshield and enclosed pilothouse — in premium marine fabric built to handle years of coastal exposure.

We pattern every cover to the 290 Pilot’s unique enclosed pilothouse profile, twin-engine transom, and 9’9″ beam. Choose between our 9oz solution-dyed marine polyester (5–7 year lifespan) and Sunbrella acrylic (8–10 year lifespan) — both UV-resistant, water-repellent, and mold-resistant. Reinforced double-stitched seams, hem cord at the rubrail, and adjustable tie-down straps keep your cover locked down in marina winds or on the trailer at highway speeds.
