Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 209 was produced from 2011 to 2016 and was superseded by the 216 Fisherman, which offered a larger footprint (21'3" vs. 20'4"), more fuel capacity, upgraded hardware, and Grady White's latest SeaV² hull technology. The 216 became the new mid-size workhorse.
The 209 features a pair of 88-quart fishboxes (front and aft), a 23-gallon livewell, and an enclosed head—making it one of the most feature-rich 20-foot center consoles ever built. The cockpit is famously spacious for a sub-21-footer, with a layout many owners compare to 25-foot boats.
The 209 uses traditional hand-laid construction over marine plywood cored stringers, which is heavier and less precisely engineered than the SeaV² molded design in the 216. Both deliver solid performance, but SeaV² offers better fuel efficiency and a slightly smoother ride. The 209 is still a capable platform, and many owners prefer its robust construction.
No. While both are center console Fishermen with similar beam (8'1" vs. 8'6"), the 209 is 1 foot shorter in LOA and has different T-Top geometry and stringer locations. We always recommend a custom fit for discontinued models to ensure proper coverage and tie-down security.
The 209 is rated for approximately 12 people, 3,000 lbs total capacity. With fuel (82 gal), livewell water, ice, and tackle, the boat performs best with 4–6 anglers aboard.
A solution-dyed cover for the 209 weighs approximately 35–40 lbs. Most owners prefer to have a helper guide the cover into place, which takes about 35 minutes total. Solo installation is possible but awkward given the boat's 8'1" beam.
The 209's hand-laid fiberglass, while durable, benefits from UV protection to prevent oxidation and color fading. The plywood core stringers also appreciate protection from water ingress, so a cover extends the structural life of the boat. There are no systemic design flaws, but like any 10+ year old boat, UV and moisture management are critical.
The 209 Fisherman was introduced in the early 2000s (production run 2011–2016 represents the final generation), following Grady White's evolution from the 200 Fisherman. Early 200-series models date back to the 1980s.
Not recommended. The 216 (current since 2018) uses newer T-Top geometry and mounting points. A custom fit ensures proper drainage, secure tie-down, and coverage without stress to the boat's railings or hardware.
Yes. The 209 is sought-after on the used market because of its feature-rich layout, proven reliability, and lower price than newer 216 or 236 models. A well-maintained 209 with updated electronics and a quality cover is an excellent choice for serious anglers on a budget.

Custom-Fit Grady White 209 Fisherman T-Top Boat Cover

The Grady White 209 Fisherman (2011–2016) was one of the most feature-packed 20-foot center consoles ever produced — a 20’4″ platform with an 8’1″ beam, 2,600 lbs dry weight, and a single outboard up to 250 HP. Built on hand-laid fiberglass over marine plywood cored stringers, the 209 delivered twin 88-quart fishboxes, a 23-gallon livewell, enclosed head, and a cockpit layout that competitors couldn’t match in a sub-21-foot package. Discontinued in 2016 and replaced by the larger 216 Fisherman, the 209 remains one of the most sought-after used boats in the Grady White lineup. Our custom T-Top cover protects this proven platform with fitted cutouts for the T-Top support legs, reinforced stitching at high-wear points, and your choice of 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric or premium Sunbrella acrylic.

Installation takes approximately 35 minutes with two people. The cover secures with adjustable tie-down straps and a hem cord beneath the rubrail, while the aft section drapes loosely over the outboard engine with cinch straps for breathable, non-abrasive protection.

Discontinued but Not Forgotten — Protecting Your 209 Investment

As a discontinued model now approaching 10+ years since production ended, every 209 Fisherman on the water represents an increasingly valuable asset. The hand-laid fiberglass hull, while extremely durable, benefits from UV protection to prevent gel coat oxidation and color fading. The marine plywood cored stringers are structurally sound but appreciate protection from water ingress — making a quality cover an investment in the boat’s long-term structural integrity. With used 209s commanding strong prices thanks to their feature-rich layout and proven reliability, maintaining cosmetic and structural condition directly impacts resale value. Solution-dyed fabric delivers 5–7 years of protection, while Sunbrella extends this to 8–10 years.

Custom Patterning for a Discontinued Hull

Generic covers and covers designed for the newer 216 Fisherman will not fit the 209 properly. The 209’s hull is 1 foot shorter (20’4″ vs. 21’3″), has a narrower beam (8’1″ vs. 8’6″), and uses different T-Top geometry and stringer positions. Our custom fit accounts for the 209’s specific deck layout, fishbox lid positions, enclosed head profile, and transom configuration. At approximately 35–40 lbs, the cover requires two people for comfortable installation but can be managed solo with patience — the 8’1″ beam is the limiting factor.
