The Key West 179 FS is the entry point into the Family Sportsman lineup — a nimble 17-foot deep-V center console that blends serious fishing capability with family-friendly versatility. Our custom-fitted T-Top cover wraps the entire hull below the hardtop — the center console, gunwales, seating, livewell, and outboard engine — while leaving the fiberglass T-Top fully exposed above. At 17 feet 9 inches long with a 7-foot-4-inch beam and 1,450 pounds dry, the 179 FS is compact enough for trailering yet capable enough for nearshore trips.
The T-Top’s support legs pass through fitted cutouts in the cover fabric, creating a clean transition between the covered hull and the exposed hardtop. The cover slopes downward from the T-Top frame like a tent, draping smoothly to the bow and stern. At the stern, the fabric extends past the transom to fully enclose the outboard engine. A hem cord cinches along the rubrail while the bottom edge reaches nearly to the waterline.
