No. While the older 189 Standalone and the newer 189 FS share similar hull profiles, there are design differences that require separate covers. The 189 Standalone and 189 FS have slightly different cabin dimensions and T-Top frame geometry. It's essential to verify your exact model before ordering. Our sales team can confirm your model to ensure you receive the correct cover. If you own a newer FS model, we offer a dedicated cover for that platform as well.
The cover is designed for extended storage in any season. You can leave it on during winter months without issue. In fact, winter storage—when your boat sits unused for weeks or months—is exactly when a quality cover provides maximum protection. Cold, wet weather accelerates gelcoat fading and corrosion if left unprotected. The cover keeps snow, ice melt, and rain off your deck and cabin. The 189's shallow 12-inch draft makes it ideal for shallow water and protected bay operation.
