7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.
9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.
Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.
Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

Frequently Asked Questions
The 2300 Bluewater was Key West's dedicated offshore variant of the 2300 platform, built with enhanced freeboard, heavier scantlings, and reinforced hardware for blue-water conditions. While both models share the same basic 23-foot hull platform, the Bluewater's slightly different cabin geometry and T-Top mounting points mean a cover engineered for the standard 2300 will not fit the Bluewater correctly. We custom-cut each cover to your specific Bluewater hull dimensions, ensuring a precise, secure fit.
The 2300 Bluewater is a legacy model no longer in active production. However, we maintain the original hull specifications and continue fabricating custom covers for every legacy Key West model. Your Bluewater is just as worthy of professional-grade protection as any current production boat. Our engineering team precision-fits each cover to match your exact hull geometry regardless of production status.
The T-Top cover wraps the hull and cabin area below the hardtop frame, leaving the hardtop and all mounted hardware fully exposed above. Antennas, outriggers, radar domes, and communication equipment mounted on or above the T-Top remain completely accessible. The cover features precision-cut openings at each T-Top leg so the frame passes cleanly through without binding or pinching.
We use solution-dyed marine fabric for all T-Top covers, including the 2300 Bluewater. This fabric is specifically selected for salt-water durability, UV resistance, and breathability. Our material resists mildew, salt degradation, and UV breakdown far better than generic tarps. The fabric allows air circulation underneath to prevent moisture buildup during extended storage.
The T-Top cover is designed for extended storage in all weather conditions, including hurricane season preparation. In severe storm conditions, we recommend securing all tie-down points with extra hardware and ensuring no loose fabric can catch wind. Some owners remove covers entirely during active hurricane warnings as a precaution, but for standard tropical weather and seasonal storage, the cover provides excellent year-round protection.
Installation takes approximately 20 minutes. The cover comes with heavy-duty tie-down loops positioned around the perimeter, ready to secure with stainless steel carabiners or fasteners to your dock cleats, boat lift frame, or mooring hardware. Having a helper makes the initial deployment easier, but most owners manage solo once familiar with the layout.
The fuel capacity is entirely internal and below deck, so it has no effect on cover fit or installation. The Bluewater's larger size actually provides excellent ventilation under the cover allowing generous air circulation that prevents moisture buildup, mold, and odor issues during extended storage. This is especially important in humid coastal environments.
We offer three premium fade-resistant colors: Navy Blue for a classic nautical look, Black for sleek modern appearance, and Charcoal Gray for sophisticated understated elegance. All three are solution-dyed for maximum UV resistance and color retention. The solution-dyeing process locks color into the fiber core rather than surface-coating, so fading is minimal regardless of color choice.
Each cover includes the fabric with fitted T-Top leg cutouts, reinforced seams, and integrated tie-down loops. You will need to provide your own fastening hardware. We recommend stainless steel carabiners, cleat brackets, or dock line rated for marine use. Stainless fasteners prevent rust staining and ensure the cover stays secure. Avoid galvanized or zinc-plated hardware as salt exposure causes corrosion.
The 2300 Bluewater shares a hull platform with the standard 2300 but has distinct differences in cabin profile and hardware placement that require a dedicated cover. The 2220 and standard 2300 are the closest alternatives. Each model gets its own custom-engineered cover because even small differences in beam, cabin height, and T-Top geometry affect fit.
