Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Sea Pro 248 Bay is 24'8" LOA with an 8'9" beam. Our custom-fitted T-Top cover wraps the hull below your hardtop frame and is engineered specifically for the 248 Bay's modified-vee hull shape and wide beam. We'll confirm your T-Top dimensions before cutting to ensure a perfect fit.
The 248 Bay and 248 DLX share the same hull platform—24'8" LOA, 8'9" beam, 15-degree deadrise. The DLX adds premium features like upgraded upholstery, additional rod holders, and enhanced electronics packages. Our T-Top cover fits both configurations since the hull dimensions and T-Top frame are identical.
Our T-Top cover wraps the hull and cabin area below the hardtop structure. The T-Top frame itself remains exposed, allowing proper air circulation and preventing moisture buildup. This design protects your upholstery, dual livewells, and electronics from UV damage while letting the hardtop breathe.
The 248 Bay weighs approximately 3,000 lbs dry (without engine). With a 350 HP outboard, fuel, and gear, you're looking at roughly 4,200-4,500 lbs on the trailer. Our cover adds less than 25 lbs—negligible compared to your vessel weight—but provides years of protection for your investment.
The 248 Bay's 15-degree deadrise handles moderate nearshore conditions well, but it's optimized for bay and inshore fishing. The 15-inch draft lets you access skinny water, and the wide 8'9" beam provides exceptional stability for fishing at rest. For serious offshore work, consider a deeper-V hull—but for bays, sounds, and coastal runs, the 248 Bay excels.
The 248 Bay features dual 30-gallon pressurized livewells—60 gallons total. That's tournament-grade capacity for keeping your catch alive in competitive fishing scenarios. The livewells also include aerators and drains. Our cover protects these plumbing systems from UV degradation and helps prevent algae buildup during storage.
The 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric is our value option, offering 5-7 years of durability with excellent UV and water resistance. Sunbrella acrylic is premium—it lasts 8-10 years, resists fading better, and handles extreme weather more reliably. For a boat with 60 gallons of livewell capacity and tournament-grade equipment, Sunbrella protects the investment longer.
Two people can install the cover in under 10 minutes. Drape the fabric over the hull from bow to stern, align the hem cord with the rubrail, and tighten the adjustable tie-down straps. The custom fit means no wrestling with excess material—it wraps cleanly around the 248 Bay's hull contours and T-Top frame supports.
Yes. We back our solution-dyed marine fabric with a 5-year coverage warranty and Sunbrella with an 8-year warranty. These cover manufacturing defects and seam failures. Wear from UV exposure, weathering, or improper care is excluded—that's normal aging.
Absolutely. We carry covers for every Sea Pro bay boat in the lineup—from the 220 to the 235 and 238. Each cover is patterned to that specific hull's dimensions. Sea Pro 248 Bay T-Top Boat Cover

The Sea Pro 248 Bay is a tournament-ready bay boat that gives inshore anglers 24’8″ of fishing platform, dual 30-gallon pressurized livewells, and enough beam at 8’9″ to keep you stable when you’re leaning over the gunwale fighting redfish. At 3,000 lbs dry with a 350 HP rating, this boat launches out of the hole and runs shallow thanks to its 15-inch draft—you’re fishing oyster bars and grass flats where bigger boats ground out. The 70-gallon fuel tank keeps you running all day, and the 15-degree modified-vee hull handles afternoon chop in sounds and bays without beating you to death. Sea Pro builds every hull with 3D CAD design and foam-filled fiberglass construction, the same durability standards that make their boats fleet favorites among guides across the Southeast. Our custom T-Top cover wraps the hull below the hardtop frame, shielding your livewells, upholstery, electronics, and gelcoat from UV exposure, salt spray, and weather degradation.

The 248 Bay sits at the intersection of fishability and comfort—wide enough for a full tournament crew, shallow enough for backwater creeks, and powerful enough to run to your spots fast. Sea Pro designed this boat under the direction of Preston Wrenn and the Hancock family legacy, returning to the core philosophy that started in 1989 in Newberry, South Carolina: deliver fishing-ready layouts with standard equipment that competitors charge extra for. Your investment in this proven bay boat deserves protection that lasts. Our T-Top cover features reinforced double-stitched seams, hem cord at the rubrail, and adjustable tie-down straps that keep the fabric taut and secure. Choose between 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric (5–7 years of protection) or premium Sunbrella acrylic (8–10 years), both UV-resistant, water-repellent, and mold-resistant.

Large Bay Performance & Tournament Capability

The Sea Pro 248 Bay is part of the manufacturer’s Large Bay family—boats built for anglers who need maximum fishable deck space without sacrificing the ability to reach skinny water. With 10-person capacity and dual 30-gallon livewells, this is a boat that handles serious tournament fishing and family outings on the same weekend. The 15-degree transom deadrise provides a comfortable ride through moderate chop while maintaining the shallow draft that bay boat anglers demand. The 150-quart fish box keeps your catch cold on long tournament days, and the 40-quart cooler handles drinks and bait. A quality T-Top cover keeps all of this equipment protected during storage—critical in the humid Southeast where mold and mildew start growing within days of exposure on unprotected boats.
