7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.
9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.
Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.
Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.
*The warranty periods above are provided by the fabric manufacturer and cover the material itself. For details on what’s included in the warranty for your completed cover, please see our warranty page.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Twin Vee 280 GFX2 T-Top cover is available in three fabric options: 9oz solution-dyed polyester for heavy-duty everyday protection, a lighter 7oz option for budget-friendly coverage, and premium Sunbrella acrylic for maximum UV resistance and longevity. All fabrics are solution-dyed, meaning the color is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface — so the cover won't fade, bleed, or transfer dye onto your 280 GFX2's vacuum-infused composite catamaran hull.
Yes. The 280 GFX2 T-Top cover is pattern-cut with reinforced cutouts that wrap cleanly around the D-shaped aluminum T-Top supports, allowing the cover to drape over the entire twin-hull platform — Command Center console, helm seating, rod holders, and cockpit — while the hardtop remains exposed above. The cutouts are double-stitched to resist wear where the fabric meets the frame.
Installation takes under five minutes and can be done by one person. Drape the cover over the 280 GFX2 from bow to stern, guide the reinforced cutouts around the T-Top supports, run the hem cord along the rubrail, and cinch down the adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs. No tools or snaps are required.
No — please remove the cover before towing your Twin Vee 280 GFX2. Our covers are not designed to be trailered: towing with the cover on can cause severe damage to the cover and voids the warranty. The cover is designed for storage only — on a trailer, boat lift, dry stack, or jet dock — and comes off in minutes at the ramp.
Absolutely. The cover creates a complete barrier over the 280 GFX2's console, 24-inch multifunction display, digital switching panel, bolstered captain's seats, and bow seating — blocking UV rays, rain, salt spray, bird droppings, and pollen. Keeping the Command Center and premium upholstery covered between trips is one of the best ways to protect your investment.
Your Twin Vee 280 GFX2 cover is backed by our manufacturer's warranty for the original purchaser. Materials and workmanship — stitching, straps, buckles, zippers, and other hardware — are covered for 1 year from the purchase date. Fabric is covered for 3 years on 7oz, 5 years on black or navy 9oz, and 6 years on Sunbrella. Covered defects are repaired or replaced after you contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. The warranty does not cover improper use, accident or negligence, unauthorized modifications, improper care, mold or mildew, incorrectly placed orders, theft or loss, or acts of God — and traveling with the cover on or using it in the water voids the warranty. See our Warranty page for full details.
The cover is highly water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. All fabrics are treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish that sheds rain and spray, while remaining breathable so moisture doesn't get trapped underneath. That breathability is what prevents mildew and mold from forming on the 280 GFX2's upholstery and deck during humid Florida summers.
This cover is patterned for the standard production Twin Vee 280 GFX2 center console (2024–present) with the factory T-Top. It is a different pattern from the original 280 GFX / 280 CC, which has a different T-Top design. If your 280 GFX2 has aftermarket additions like outriggers, a taller T-Top, or a custom tower, contact us before ordering so we can confirm fit.
The Twin Vee 280 GFX2 cover is available in 9oz solution-dyed polyester in Navy or Black, 7oz polyester in Black, or premium Sunbrella acrylic in Marine Blue, Black, or Smoke. Choose your fabric and color in the order options above.

The Twin Vee 280 GFX2 is the flagship of Twin Vee PowerCats’ second-generation center console lineup, built in Fort Pierce, Florida — 28 feet of vacuum-infused, all-composite twin-hull construction on a 9’6″ beam, 20 inches of draft, roughly 6,900 lbs dry, up to 600 HP from twin outboards, and a 230-gallon fuel supply split between dual 115-gallon cells. Launched in 2024, the GFX2 platform was re-engineered from the waterline up using 5-axis CNC-cut molds and resin infusion, then given a “Command Center” console with a 24-inch multifunction display and all-digital switching you can run from your phone. Underneath the tech is the same catamaran ride Twin Vee has refined since 1994 — twin hulls that cushion head seas instead of slamming through them, with twin Yamaha 300s pushing the 280 GFX2 to nearly 60 mph. Protecting that much boat and that much electronics is exactly what our custom-fitted T-Top boat covers are built for.
Tailored to the 280 GFX2’s Command Center Layout
Twin Vee packs 228 square feet of fishable deck into the 280 GFX2 — a redesigned lightweight T-Top on D-shaped aluminum supports with LED lighting and an integrated electronics box, tempered-glass three-sided windshield, bolstered captain’s seating, Seastar Optimus electric-hydraulic steering, macerated in-deck fish boxes, under-gunwale rod storage, an 800-GPH livewell system, four 2,000-GPH bilge pumps, and raw and fresh water washdowns. This cover is pattern-cut with reinforced cutouts that wrap cleanly around the T-Top supports, draping over the console, helm seating, and both hulls while the hardtop stays exposed above. Installation takes under five minutes solo — drape it, run the hem cord along the rubrail, and cinch the adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs. With just 20 inches of draft, the 280 GFX2 launches easily at shallow Treasure Coast ramps. Remove the cover before towing — it’s designed for storage, not highway travel. Protection That Matches the GFX2’s Vacuum-Infused Build
Twin Vee backs every GFX2 hull with a 10-year warranty — your cover should be built for the long haul too. Choose 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric for heavy-duty everyday protection with a 5–7 year lifespan, or upgrade to premium Sunbrella acrylic for 8–10 years of fade-resistant coverage. Both are water-repellent with a DWR finish, mildew-resistant, and double-stitched at every seam to stand up to Indian River Lagoon humidity, inlet salt spray, and the relentless Florida sun that bakes a 24-inch display and premium upholstery. Every cover ships with our warranty (1 year on materials and workmanship, plus 3–6 years on the fabric) and arrives ready to install. Comparing 28-foot center consoles?
