Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

*The warranty periods above are provided by the fabric manufacturer and cover the material itself. For details on what’s included in the warranty for your completed cover, please see our warranty page.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Wellcraft 222 Scarab T-Top cover is available in three fabric options: 9oz solution-dyed polyester for heavy-duty everyday protection, a lighter 7oz option for budget-friendly coverage, and premium Sunbrella acrylic for maximum UV resistance and longevity. All fabrics are solution-dyed, meaning the color is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface — so the cover won't fade, bleed, or transfer dye onto your 222 Scarab's fiberglass performance hull.
Yes. The 222 Scarab T-Top cover is pattern-cut with reinforced cutouts that wrap cleanly around the T-Top legs, allowing the cover to drape over the entire hull — console, leaning post, rod holders, and cockpit — while the hardtop remains exposed above. The cutouts are reinforced with double-stitched seams to prevent fraying or tearing around the T-Top contact points.
Installation takes under five minutes and can be done solo. Drape the cover over the 222 Scarab's hull, thread the hem cord along the rubrail for a snug baseline fit, and secure everything with the adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs. No tools required — just unfold, drape, strap, and go.
Absolutely. The 222 Scarab T-Top cover is reinforced for trailering at highway speeds. The hem cord locks along the rubrail and the adjustable tie-down straps prevent any flapping or shifting during transit. The 222 Scarab's manageable 22-foot length handles most coastal ramps without issue.
Yes. The cover creates a complete barrier over the 222 Scarab's cockpit — shielding your console-mounted electronics, GPS, fish finder, leaning post cushions, livewell, in-deck fish boxes, and all upholstery from UV rays, rain, salt spray, and airborne debris. The breathable fabric vents moisture naturally, preventing mildew in Florida's Gulf Coast humidity.
Every Wellcraft 222 Scarab T-Top cover ships with a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The fabric itself carries additional protection: the 9oz solution-dyed polyester is rated for 5–7 years of UV and weather performance, while the Sunbrella acrylic option is rated for 8–10 years.
The cover is water-resistant with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish that causes rain and spray to bead up and roll off. It's intentionally breathable rather than fully waterproof — this allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, which is critical for preventing mildew on the 222 Scarab's fiberglass hull, upholstery, and electronics in Florida's tropical climate.
Yes. This cover is designed to fit the Wellcraft 222 Scarab Offshore across its standard production run with the factory T-Top configuration. If your 222 Scarab has significant aftermarket modifications or a non-standard T-Top setup, contact us to confirm fitment before ordering.
The 9oz solution-dyed polyester is available in Navy, Black, and Charcoal — the three most popular colors for T-Top covers. The premium Sunbrella acrylic option expands the palette with additional color choices. All colors are solution-dyed for long-term fade resistance, even under constant Gulf Coast sun exposure.
Shipping is a $30 flat rate per cover to anywhere in the continental United States. Orders typically ship within 1–2 business days, so your 222 Scarab cover arrives quickly and ready to install.

Wellcraft 222 Scarab T-Top Boat Cover — Offshore Performance Hull Protection From Wellcraft’s Iconic Scarab Line

The Wellcraft 222 Scarab is the offshore performance variant in Wellcraft’s 22-foot lineup — a deep-V center console with an 8’6″ beam, approximately 3,600 lbs dry weight, up to 250 HP from a single outboard, and a 103-gallon fuel supply that doubles the range of Wellcraft’s standard 221 Fisherman platform. The Scarab name carries serious weight in offshore fishing — Wellcraft’s Scarab line has been synonymous with tournament-grade performance since the brand introduced it decades ago, featuring deeper deadrise hulls that slice through Gulf Stream chop and open-water swells with a confidence that flatter fishing hulls simply cannot match. Pair the 222 Scarab with boat shade kits and a pattern-cut T-Top cover that protects the performance hull between runs.

Tailored to the 222 Scarab’s Offshore Performance Layout

Wellcraft designed the 222 Scarab as a compact offshore weapon — deeper-V hull for rough-water capability, center console with T-Top hardtop, leaning post, rod holders, aerated livewell, in-deck fish boxes, and the fuel capacity to reach offshore structure and return without anxiety. The 103-gallon tank is a critical differentiator — nearly double the 52-gallon capacity of the standard 221 Fisherman — giving you the range for genuine offshore trips from ports like Sanibel Island and Fort Myers. This T-Top cover is pattern-cut with reinforced cutouts that wrap cleanly around the T-Top legs, draping over the entire hull while leaving the hardtop exposed above. Installation takes under five minutes solo with the hem cord and adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs. It’s reinforced for trailering at highway speeds. For the center console mooring cover on Wellcraft’s 222 Fisherman platform, see the Wellcraft 222 center console cover.

Protection That Matches the Scarab’s Offshore Pedigree

The Scarab line was built to handle conditions that keep lesser boats at the dock — your cover should match that offshore resilience. Choose from 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric for heavy-duty everyday protection with a 5–7 year lifespan, or upgrade to premium Sunbrella acrylic for 8–10 years of fade-resistant coverage. Both options are water-repellent with a DWR finish, mildew-resistant, and built with double-stitched seams that survive Florida’s relentless UV, Gulf of Mexico salt spray, and year-round tropical humidity. Every cover ships with a 2-year manufacturer warranty and arrives ready to install. For another quality offshore T-Top cover in this size range, check out the Mako 234 T-Top cover.
