7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.
9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.
Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.
Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.
*The warranty periods above are provided by the fabric manufacturer and cover the material itself. For details on what’s included in the warranty for your completed cover, please see our warranty page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Our Sea Hunt 22 BXBR covers are custom-patterned to accommodate the boat's unique dual-purpose layout — the forward bow rider seating area with its walk-through windshield, the center console with helm station and leaning post, and the aft fishing platform with rod holders and live well. The pattern accounts for both configurations so the cover fits snugly over the entire boat without leaving gaps around the bow seating or console.
Since the 22 BXBR CC version has no T-top frame, the cover wraps over the entire boat as one continuous piece. It attaches along the rubrail and gunwale using stainless-steel snaps, adjustable straps, and an elastic hem cord that holds the bottom edge snug against the hull. A support pole system prevents water from pooling on the flat areas of the cover, particularly over the bow rider section and aft casting deck.
Our covers extend well below the chine — the widest point of the hull where it transitions from the vertical sides to the V-bottom. On the 22 BXBR, only a thin 6–10 inch strip of the curved V-bottom hull is visible below the cover's bottom edge. When trailered, the cover's bottom edge sits level with the top of the trailer tires, and tie-down straps secure it to the trailer frame for a tight, wind-resistant fit during highway travel.
The cover is one single continuous piece of fabric — it doesn't stop at the transom. The fabric extends past the transom and drapes loosely over the outboard engine (up to 250 HP) as part of the same cover, then gathers and cinches at the bottom with straps. The engine is completely hidden under the fabric — you can't see the cowling shape at all. Only the lower unit shaft is visible below. There is no separate engine boot or engine cover to deal with.
The CC (center console) cover is designed for the version without a T-top frame — it covers the entire boat as one continuous piece from bow to stern, including the console and engine. The T-Top cover is designed for boats with a factory T-top and attaches to the underside of the T-top roof panel, with the T-top support legs hidden inside the fabric. Make sure to select the correct version for your boat's configuration — using the wrong cover type will result in a poor fit.
Yes. During the ordering process, you'll specify any aftermarket additions — trolling motors, Power-Poles, jack plates, upgraded electronics, ski/tow bars, and similar accessories. Our team adjusts the pattern to accommodate these modifications so the cover fits properly without putting stress on protruding accessories or leaving gaps around them. We include a Power-Pole measurement form for precise fitment on bracket and transom mount configurations.
With proper care, our covers typically last 7–10 years in harsh saltwater and sun environments like Florida, the Gulf Coast, and the Carolinas — exactly the waters where the BX 22 BR excels. Both our 9 oz marine canvas and Sunbrella options use solution-dyed fibers that resist UV fading and mildew growth. We recommend rinsing the cover with fresh water after heavy salt exposure and allowing it to dry fully before folding for maximum lifespan.
A center console mooring cover is a full-boat protective cover that wraps over the entire vessel — bow to stern and down the hull sides — during storage, trailering, or while sitting on a lift. Unlike a bimini (which only shades while underway) or a T-top cover (which clips to the hardtop frame), a CC mooring cover has no overhead structure to attach to. Instead, it uses stainless snaps along the gunwale, internal support poles for water shedding, and adjustable straps to deliver complete coverage of the boat, console, and engine as one continuous piece.
Both are top-tier marine fabrics. Our 9 oz canvas is the most popular choice among BXBR owners — it's heavy-duty, tightly woven, and provides excellent water resistance, UV protection, and breathability with a 5-year fabric warranty. Sunbrella is the premium option, offering the best-in-class fade resistance and durability with a 6-year warranty, and is preferred by owners who store in extreme sun climates like South Florida or the Texas Gulf. Both use solution-dyed construction so the color is locked into the fiber and will never bleed onto your gel coat.
Select your Sea Hunt 22 BXBR from our product page, choose your fabric (9 oz canvas or Sunbrella) and color, then note any aftermarket accessories during checkout. Each cover is built to order using your boat's specific pattern and model year. Typical production time is 2–4 weeks depending on volume. Your cover ships complete with all mounting hardware — stainless-steel snaps, adjustable straps, support poles for water shedding, and detailed installation instructions. No additional hardware purchases required.
The Sea Hunt BX 22 BR is a versatile dual-purpose hull that blends a fishable center console layout with comfortable bow rider seating in a 22’10” package with an 8’5″ beam. Our custom-patterned center console cover is built specifically for the 22 BXBR’s hull profile — the flared Carolina bow, walk-through windshield, center console with leaning post, and aft casting platform — delivering a tight fit that sheds water cleanly and protects every surface between trips.
Unlike universal covers that bunch around the console or leave gaps at the bow rider seating, our 22 BXBR cover follows the boat’s exact contours from stem to stern. The result is clean coverage with no wind-catching slack, no pooling pockets, and no openings where rain, salt spray, or debris can reach your electronics, upholstery, or gel coat. Why the Sea Hunt 22 BXBR Needs a Custom Cover
With a single outboard rated up to 250 HP, 53 gallons of fuel, and a 15-degree deadrise modified-V hull with Sea Hunt’s signature Carolina Flare, the BX 22 BR handles everything from offshore reef runs to sandbar cruises. That versatility means the boat sees a wide range of harsh environments — saltwater flats, brackish rivers, open bays, and sun-baked trailer lots — all of which accelerate wear on exposed upholstery, gelcoat, and electronics.
At roughly 2,700 pounds dry weight, the 22 BXBR is a popular trailer boat that often lives in driveways, open storage lots, or on lifts between trips. A properly fitted cover is the single most effective way to slow UV oxidation on the hull, prevent mildew from colonizing the bow rider cushions and aft seating, and stop corrosion on exposed stainless hardware. Owners who cover their boats consistently see significantly better resale values and lower annual maintenance costs.
Built for the Sea Hunt BX 22 BR Layout
Every cover we produce for the 22 BXBR is patterned around the boat’s dual-purpose deck layout: the forward bow rider seating with walk-through windshield, the center console with helm station and leaning post, rod holders, and the aft casting platform with live well access. The fabric follows the modified-V hull shape and Carolina Flare all the way below the chine to the rubrail, so water runs off instead of collecting in pockets.
We offer your choice of 9 oz marine-grade canvas — our most popular option — or premium Sunbrella fabric. Both are solution-dyed for maximum UV and fade resistance, meaning the color is locked into the fiber itself rather than applied to the surface. Each cover ships with stainless-steel snaps, adjustable straps, support poles, and complete installation hardware. If you own the T-top version, see the Sea Hunt 20 BXBR T-Top cover for the smaller BX platform, or check out the Sea Hunt 22 BXBR T-Top cover if your boat has a factory hardtop.
How Our Covers Protect Your Investment
A custom-fitted mooring cover does more than keep leaves out of your boat. It preserves your resale value by shielding the gel coat from UV oxidation, prevents mildew from forming on the bow rider cushions and aft seating, and stops corrosion on exposed hardware and electronics. For a dual-purpose boat like the BX 22 BR that sees both fishing and family use across varied coastal environments, that protection translates directly into lower maintenance costs and a longer hull life.
