No. The cover is designed for storage only — on a trailer, lift, dry stack, or at the dock. Towing with it installed can damage the cover and voids the warranty, so take it off before you hit the road.
Materials and workmanship are covered for 1 year, and the fabric carries its own warranty (3 years on 7oz, 5 years on 9oz, and 6 years on Sunbrella). Every cover is made to order, so please allow 1–3 weeks; shipping is a $30 flat rate within the continental US.

Contender 24 Sport T-Top Boat Cover — Custom-Fit for the Contender 24 Sport with T-Top or Hardtop
Contender Boats has built semi-custom offshore fishing boats in Homestead, Florida, since 1984; founder Joe Neber owns and runs the family company, which opened a second plant in Fort Pierce in 2022 for its boats of 32 feet and under. The 24 Sport (24S) arrived in 2014 to replace the 23 Open and was still sold new in 2026. Contender’s figures give it 24’6″ overall, an 8’6″ beam, an 18-inch draft, about 5,250 lb dry and 130 gallons of fuel, on a hull with 22.5 degrees of transom deadrise, rated for up to 400 hp; single Yamahas of 200 to 300 hp and twin 115s or 150s have been offered. The layout a cover has to clear includes a step-down console with an optional head and a front seat over a cooler, a leaning post that seats two, U-shaped bow seating with a removable center insert, a 26-gallon raised livewell between two transom jump seats, and four in-deck fishboxes. A T-top or a hardtop is optional. This T-Top cover is patterned for the Contender 24 Sport with its top, and like all of our Contender boat covers, it’s cut to this hull rather than a generic 24-foot size chart.
How It Fits the Contender 24 Sport
The cover runs up to the underside of the T-top or hardtop and wraps its supports, leaving the roof exposed. Below, it drapes over the console and the leaning post, spreads forward over the U-shaped bow seating to the rubrail along the 8’6″ beam, and runs aft over the jump seats and raised livewell to wrap the outboard, single or twin, in one piece. Pull the rods from the T-top and leaning-post launchers before covering. Installation takes about five minutes: drape it bow to stern, run the hem cord along the rubrail, and cinch the adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs. It’s made for storage on a trailer, lift, dry stack, or at the dock — take it off before towing, since trailering with the cover on can damage it and voids the warranty.

Each cover is backed by our warranty (1 year on materials and workmanship, plus 3–6 years on the fabric) and ships for a $30 flat rate within the US — every cover is made to order, so please allow 1–3 weeks.
