The Sportsman 227 Masters is a 22-foot-5-inch bay boat with an 8-foot-4-inch beam and a dry weight around 3,663 pounds. Powered by a single outboard up to 250 horsepower with 70 gallons of fuel capacity, this modified-V hull delivers 15 degrees of deadrise at the transom for a smooth, dry ride across shallow bays and coastal waters. Sportsman’s SportTech construction uses a no-wood, all-fiberglass build with vinyl ester resin and comes backed by a 10-year structural hull warranty. The 227 Masters is the newest addition to the Masters bay boat series, replacing the discontinued 207 with a longer waterline, updated electronics integration through SportLink, and signature Sandbar Mode with 180-degree rotating captain’s chairs.
Our custom-fitted T-top mooring cover wraps the entire 227 Masters as one continuous piece of solution-dyed marine fabric. The fabric attaches at the underside edges of the T-top roof frame and hangs down like curtain panels — angling forward toward the bow and rearward past the transom to fully enclose the single outboard engine in a natural, gathered drape. All four T-top support legs are completely hidden inside the fabric, leaving only the flat fiberglass roof panel visible at the top. The cover bottom edge extends nearly to the keel, with the hem sitting level with the top of the trailer tires.
