7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.
9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.
Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.
Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.
*The warranty periods above are provided by the fabric manufacturer and cover the material itself. For details on what’s included in the warranty for your completed cover, please see our warranty page.

Frequently Asked Questions
The 158 and 155 share virtually the same hull dimensions — 15'1" vs 15'0" with identical 6'7" beams. The key difference is fuel strategy: the 155 carries a 35-gallon tank for extended range while the 158 keeps an 18-gallon tank for weight savings and simplicity. The 158 is slightly heavier at 1,450 lbs versus 1,200 lbs, reflecting different standard equipment configurations.
Yes. The center console cover wraps the entire boat from bow to stern as one continuous piece. The fabric extends past the transom and drapes over the engine cowling, enveloping it completely. Only the lower unit and propeller remain visible below the fabric edge. No separate engine cover or boot needed.
With 18 gallons and a 90 HP outboard, the 158 is built for efficient inshore and nearshore fishing. At economy cruise, you’ll get a solid half-day of running plus fishing time. For full-day trips, plan refueling — the compact tank is a deliberate design choice keeping weight down for shallow-water performance and easy trailering.
The SPI hull gives the 158 structural integrity that far exceeds its 15-foot size class. The one-piece foam-filled construction creates a hull that won’t flex, crack, or delaminate in chop. That said, a 15-foot boat with a 6'7" beam is best suited to protected waters — bays, inlets, rivers, nearshore reefs, and calm ocean days. It’s not an offshore platform.
Most 15-foot boats use basic hand-laid fiberglass — functional but structurally limited. EdgeWater builds the 158 with the same SPI vacuum-infused, foam-filled, unsinkable construction used in their 37-foot flagships. Add wood-free construction, 316L stainless hardware, and Deutsch waterproof electrical connections, and you have a 15-foot boat built to standards normally reserved for boats costing three to four times as much.
The 158CC has evolved into the current 158CS in EdgeWater's lineup with updated specifications. However, our cover patterns are maintained for the original 158CC dimensions regardless of production status — your boat gets the same custom-fit quality as any current model.
For a trailered 158 stored outdoors, standard 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric provides excellent 5–7 year protection at great value. The compact 15-foot cover sees minimal wind stress. Upgrade to Sunbrella acrylic if the boat sits in intense year-round sun (South Florida, Gulf Coast) for 8–10 years of UV protection.
The 158 is one of the easiest boats to cover in the EdgeWater lineup. At 15 feet with a 6'7" beam, one person can install or remove the cover in under five minutes. The adjustable tie-down straps and hem cord system secure the cover snugly without requiring a second pair of hands.
Note any bow-mounted trolling motor during ordering so we can adjust the bow pattern. The standard pattern is cut to factory specifications — a trolling motor bracket adds height and width at the bow that needs accommodation for a proper fit.
Rinse with fresh water after every saltwater outing or every two weeks during storage. Full wash with mild soap twice per season. Inspect tie-down straps and attachment points monthly. Check for chafing at hardware contact points. Never store the cover wet — let it dry completely before packing into a storage bag to prevent mildew.
EdgeWater 158 Center Console Boat Cover
The EdgeWater 158CC packs SPI vacuum-infused hull technology into one of the most compact fishing platforms on the water — 15’1” of one-piece, foam-filled, unsinkable construction on a 6’7” beam with up to 90 HP pushing 1,450 lbs. This is EdgeWater’s Heritage series at its most focused — a no-compromise small center console built with the same structural engineering found in boats three times its size. Wood-free construction, 316L stainless, self-bailing cockpit, and the fishability that defines every EdgeWater hull.
A Perfect Fit center console cover wraps the entire 158 — hull, console, cockpit, and outboard engine — in UV-resistant solution-dyed marine fabric. One continuous piece of fabric from bow to stern, extending over the engine cowling for complete protection during trailer storage, driveway parking, or seasonal layup.
Built Small, Built Right
Premium hull construction deserves premium protection. The 158 may be compact, but the SPI engineering underneath represents a significant investment that UV, salt, and weather can erode between fishing trips. Our cover keeps gel coat, console electronics, cockpit hardware, and engine finish in launch-ready condition season after season.
