Grady-White Freedom 225 T-Top Boat Cover — Custom-Fit for the Grady-White Freedom 225 Dual Console
The Grady-White Freedom 225 is a dual console from Grady-White’s Freedom line, with examples on the market from the 2014 to 2017 model years. Grady-White’s specs list a 22’2″ centerline length, an 8′ beam, a weight of 3,450 lb without the engine, a 16″ hull draft and 89 gallons of fuel, with a rating of up to 300 hp from a single outboard on its deep-V hull. The layout puts twin consoles behind a walk-through tempered-glass windshield, with port and starboard bow box cushions and forward bolsters for wraparound bow seating, a lockable port console with a portable head, and a fold-away aft bench seat; a 22-gallon transom livewell is an option. Many are rigged with Grady-White’s hardtop (raising bridge clearance to about 8’2″) with a windshield and side curtains. This T-Top cover is patterned for the Freedom 225 with its hardtop or T-top, and like all of our Grady-White boat covers, it’s cut to this hull rather than a generic 22-foot size chart.
How It Fits the Freedom 225
A dual console needs a different cut than a center console: the walk-through windshield and two consoles span the full width of the boat, with an open bow seating area ahead of them. The cover runs up to the underside of the hardtop or T-top and wraps around its legs, then drapes forward over the windshield and the bow seating to the bow, and aft over the helm and companion seats and the fold-away bench to the transom, continuing over the outboard as one piece. The top’s roof stays exposed. Installation takes about five minutes: drape it bow to stern, run the hem cord along the rubrail, and cinch the adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs. It’s made for storage on a trailer, lift, dry stack, or at the dock — take it off before towing, since trailering with the cover on can damage it and voids the warranty.
