7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.
9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.
Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.
Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.
*The warranty periods above are provided by the fabric manufacturer and cover the material itself. For details on what’s included in the warranty for your completed cover, please see our warranty page.

Frequently Asked Questions
The 244's stepped hull design creates unique contours along the hull sides that differ from conventional deep-V boats. Our engineering team accounts for these stepped hull transitions when pattern-cutting each cover, ensuring the fabric drapes properly over the hull's distinctive shape. The cover fits snugly around the stepped sections without bunching or leaving gaps, providing complete protection for the entire hull below the T-Top hardtop.
The T-Top cover wraps the hull and cabin area below your boat's hardtop frame. The hardtop itself stays fully exposed above. The cover features precision-cut openings at each T-Top leg so the frame passes cleanly through without restriction. This protects your electronics, helm seating, cabin entry, and open deck while keeping the hardtop visible and accessible.
Absolutely. The cover is designed to wrap the hull forward of the transom. Your outboard engine remains fully exposed and accessible. The cover's aft edge terminates at the transom area, so there's no interference with your motor, fuel lines, or steering hardware. You can service your engine without removing the cover.
Solution-dyed marine fabric has color pigments embedded directly into the fiber during manufacturing, rather than applied as a surface dye. This means the color won't fade, crack, or peel under intense UV exposure. The fabric also resists mildew, salt degradation, and moisture infiltration while allowing air circulation to prevent mold growth underneath. It's the same grade of material used on professional-grade marine awnings and enclosures.
Most owners can install the cover in about 15–20 minutes once familiar with the layout. Start by draping the cover over the T-Top frame from the center, then work toward bow and stern. Secure the tie-down loops to your dock cleats or boat lift hardware using stainless steel carabiners. After the first couple of installations, the process becomes routine.
Yes. The fuel fill and tank access points on the 244 are located within the deck area that falls under the cover's protection zone. The cover shields the entire deck and cabin area from UV, rain, and salt spray, including the fuel system access points. This prevents corrosion around fuel fittings and keeps the fill area clean between outings.
The cover is designed for normal storage conditions including moderate wind, rain, and sun exposure. For hurricane preparation, we recommend removing the cover and securing your boat according to your marina's storm protocol. The tie-down system is rated for sustained winds typical of seasonal weather, but extreme storm conditions exceed the design parameters of any fabric boat cover.
Yes. We keep the hull patterns for every Key West model on file. When you need a replacement, simply contact our sales team with your boat model and any modifications since your last order. We'll fabricate a new cover using the same precision patterns, with the option to change colors if desired. Reordering is straightforward since your hull dimensions are already in our system.
The T-Top cover is designed for stationary storage—dock lifts, boat stands, canal moorings, and dry storage racks. It is not designed for trailering or use while underway. If you trailer your 244, remove the cover before transport and reinstall it once the boat is positioned in its storage location.
We offer three premium fade-resistant colors: Navy Blue, Black, and Charcoal Gray. All three maintain their appearance under intense UV exposure. Navy Blue remains the most popular choice among Key West owners for its classic nautical appearance, but Black and Charcoal Gray are increasingly popular for their sleek, modern look. All colors provide identical protection and durability.

Key West 244 T-Top Boat Cover – Custom Protection for Your Stepped-Hull Center Console
Engineered for the 244’s Performance Hull
The Key West 244 stands out in the mid-size center console class with its second-generation stepped hull design, delivering exceptional speed and fuel efficiency that few boats in this range can match. At 24’4” with a 9-foot beam and 21-degree deadrise, the 244 handles offshore chop with confidence while maintaining a dry, stable ride. Whether you fish the nearshore reefs or venture further offshore, your 244 is a serious investment that deserves serious protection. Our custom T-Top cover is precision-engineered to match the 244’s exact hull geometry—including the distinctive stepped hull contours—ensuring complete coverage and a secure fit that generic covers simply cannot provide.
T-Top Cover Design: Full Cabin and Deck Protection
The T-Top cover wraps the hull and cabin area below your boat’s hardtop frame, leaving the hardtop fully exposed above. Precision-cut openings at each T-Top leg allow the frame to pass cleanly through without binding or stress. For the 244, this means your electronics console, helm station, leaning post, livewells, and all exposed deck surfaces receive dedicated UV and weather protection. Salt spray, UV radiation, and rain are the primary enemies of gelcoat finish, marine electronics, and upholstery—and these elements attack your boat relentlessly when it sits uncovered between outings. A fitted cover dramatically slows this deterioration and preserves both appearance and function.
Solution-Dyed Marine Fabric Built for Coastal Conditions
Our covers are fabricated from solution-dyed marine fabric—the same grade used on commercial marine awnings and professional boat enclosures. Unlike surface-dyed materials, solution-dyed fabric has color embedded directly into the fiber during manufacturing, which means it won’t fade, crack, or peel under years of intense UV exposure. The fabric resists mildew and salt degradation while allowing air circulation underneath to prevent moisture buildup and mold growth. Reinforced stress points at every T-Top leg cutout and tie-down loop ensure the cover holds up under wind load and seasonal weather without tearing or sagging.
Quick Installation and Premium Color Options
Installation takes about 15–20 minutes. Drape the cover over the T-Top frame from center, work toward bow and stern, and secure the tie-down loops with stainless carabiners to your dock cleats or lift hardware. We offer three fade-resistant colors: Navy Blue, Black, and Charcoal Gray—all proven to maintain their appearance through years of coastal exposure.
