Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Sea Pro 248 is 24'8" LOA with an 8'9" beam. Our custom-fitted T-Top cover wraps the hull below your hardtop frame and is engineered specifically for the 248's modified-vee hull shape. We'll confirm your T-Top dimensions before cutting to ensure a perfect fit.
Both share the same 24'8" hull platform with an 8'9" beam and 15-degree deadrise. The 248 Bay is configured specifically for inshore bay fishing with features optimized for shallow water. The standard 248 offers a more versatile layout suitable for both nearshore and offshore fishing. Our covers fit both configurations since the hull dimensions are identical.
Our T-Top cover wraps the hull and cabin area below the hardtop structure. The T-Top frame itself remains exposed, allowing proper air circulation and preventing moisture buildup. This design protects your 150-quart fish box, upholstery, and electronics from UV damage while letting the hardtop breathe.
The 248 is rated for up to 350 HP and handles nearshore and moderate offshore conditions with its 15-degree deadrise. While it's not a deep-V bluewater boat, it crosses inlets and runs coastal waters with confidence. The wide 8'9" beam provides stability in beam seas, and the 70-gallon fuel tank gives you range for extended offshore trips within reason.
Our 9oz solution-dyed cover weighs approximately 18-20 lbs for a 24'8" hull. The Sunbrella option is slightly heavier at 21-23 lbs. Both are manageable for two people to deploy or stow, and our reinforced tie-down system keeps everything secure in marina winds.
The 248 supports up to 350 HP with a single outboard. Popular choices include the Yamaha F300 and Suzuki DF350A. Most owners run 250-350 HP depending on whether they prioritize fuel efficiency or top-end speed. Our cover accommodates any single-engine configuration, protecting your transom and engine compartment area from sun and salt exposure.
The 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric is our value option, offering 5-7 years of durability with excellent UV and water resistance. Sunbrella acrylic is premium—it lasts 8-10 years, resists fading better, and handles extreme weather more reliably. If your 248 stays on a lift or mooring in direct sun, Sunbrella gives you the best long-term protection.
Rinse with fresh water after saltwater boating and let it air-dry completely before stowing. For stubborn algae or mildew, use a soft brush with mild detergent—avoid pressure washers. Both fabric options resist mold naturally, but proper drying between uses is essential in humid coastal environments.
Yes. We back our solution-dyed marine fabric with a 5-year coverage warranty and Sunbrella with an 8-year warranty. These cover manufacturing defects and seam failures. Wear from UV exposure, weathering, or improper care is excluded—that's normal aging.
Definitely. Browse our full Sea Pro lineup—we carry covers for the 239, 255, 259, 27, and 320 DLX T-Top models in the Offshore family. Each cover is tailored to that boat's unique hull shape and dimensions. Visit our Sea Pro brand page or filter by the T-Top category to compare sizes and pricing.

Sea Pro 248 T-Top Boat Cover

The Sea Pro 248 is a versatile 24’8″ fishing machine that bridges the gap between dedicated bay boats and full-blown offshore center consoles. Built on Sea Pro’s proven modified-vee hull with an 8’9″ beam and 15-degree deadrise, this boat handles everything from skinny-water redfish to nearshore reef fishing without breaking a sweat. The 248 weighs 3,000 lbs dry, runs up to 350 HP, and carries 70 gallons of fuel for solid all-day range. Sea Pro builds every hull with 3D CAD design and foam-filled fiberglass construction—the same build quality that earned the brand its reputation among guides and weekend anglers across the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. The 150-quart insulated fish box keeps your catch cold on the longest days. Our custom T-Top cover wraps the hull below the hardtop frame, protecting your investment from UV rays, salt spray, and weather degradation while you’re not on the water.

What sets the 248 apart from single-purpose boats is its ability to adapt. Run shallow creeks in the morning chasing flounder, then push through the inlet for afternoon trolling along nearshore wrecks. The 15-degree deadrise provides enough V to handle 2-foot seas comfortably while maintaining the stability anglers need when fighting fish at rest. Sea Pro’s Hancock family heritage—starting in 1989 in Newberry, South Carolina—and Preston Wrenn’s modern engineering vision combine to deliver a hull that performs and lasts. Your investment deserves matching protection. Our T-Top cover features reinforced double-stitched seams, hem cord at the rubrail, and adjustable tie-down straps. Choose between 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric (5–7 years) or premium Sunbrella acrylic (8–10 years), both UV-resistant, water-repellent, and mold-resistant.

Offshore Versatility & Build Quality

The Sea Pro 248 belongs to the Offshore family—boats built for anglers who want the option to push beyond the jetties when conditions allow. The hull’s 15-degree deadrise handles inlet chop and coastal swells while keeping the draft manageable for inshore work. With 10-person capacity, the 248 accommodates a full fishing crew or a family outing with room to spare. Standard features include rod storage, livewell systems, and a console layout optimized for all-around visibility. The T-Top provides shade on the water; our cover provides protection at the dock, on the lift, or in storage. In humid southeastern climates, unprotected boats develop mold and mildew within days—a quality cover prevents this and preserves your gelcoat, upholstery, and electronics season after season.
