Choose Your Cover Fabric

7 oz. Polyester — Our entry-level marine cover fabric, woven from 100% polyester fiber at a 7 oz. per linear yard weight. This lighter option keeps the cover manageable for solo handling while still delivering reliable protection against sun, rain, and debris. Backed by a 3-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black.

9 oz. Polyester — Step up to our heavy-duty polyester, engineered at 9 oz. per linear yard for boats that face tougher conditions or extended outdoor storage. The denser weave adds an extra layer of defense against abrasion and weather without adding unnecessary bulk. Protected by a 5-year fabric warranty. Ships in Navy or Black.

Sunbrella® — For boaters who want the best, our Sunbrella covers use 100% solution-dyed acrylic — the same fabric trusted by marine professionals worldwide. Naturally resistant to fading, mold, and water damage, Sunbrella holds its color and integrity season after season. Covered by a 6-year fabric warranty. Ships in Black, Smoke, or Marine Blue.

Both polyester options feature solution-dyed construction, where pigment is infused into each fiber during production rather than applied to the surface afterward. This process locks color deep into the material, preventing any dye transfer to your boat’s gel coat or finish. The result is a cover that stays vibrant without bleeding or rubbing off. Our polyester is also designed to breathe — it allows moisture trapped underneath to vent out naturally, reducing the risk of mildew and keeping your boat dry. The fabric holds its form without sagging or stretching over time, stays lightweight enough for one person to handle, and stands up to prolonged UV exposure and harsh marine weather.

*The warranty periods above are provided by the fabric manufacturer and cover the material itself. For details on what’s included in the warranty for your completed cover, please see our warranty page.

Frequently Asked Questions

The standard cover for the Ken Craft 2260 Bay Rider is crafted from 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric — a tightly woven polyester that resists UV fading, mildew, and water penetration for 5 to 7 years of reliable protection. We also offer a premium Sunbrella acrylic option rated for 8 to 10 years. Both fabrics are breathable to prevent moisture and mildew buildup underneath the cover.
Yes. The cover is pattern-cut specifically for the Ken Craft 2260 Bay Rider hull and T-Top frame. It wraps the hull below the hardtop with reinforced cutouts that fit snugly around the T-Top support legs. The hardtop roof remains exposed on top while everything below — console, leaning post, rod holders, and seating — is fully enclosed.
Installation takes one person under five minutes. Drape the cover over the hull beneath the T-Top hardtop, align the reinforced cutouts with the T-Top support legs, and secure the adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs along the rubrail. No tools or additional hardware required.
Absolutely. The cover is reinforced for trailering at highway speeds. The adjustable tie-down straps and hem cord keep the fabric taut and secure even at speed, so you can tow your 2260 Bay Rider directly from the ramp to storage without removing the cover.
Yes. The cover creates a complete barrier over the entire cockpit, shielding your helm electronics, GPS, fishfinder, VHF radio, seat cushions, and leaning post upholstery from UV rays, rain, salt spray, bird droppings, and airborne debris. The breathable fabric prevents condensation buildup that can damage sensitive electronics.
Every cover ships with a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The 9oz solution-dyed fabric is engineered for 5 to 7 years of service life, and the Sunbrella acrylic option is rated for 8 to 10 years — well beyond the warranty period.
The cover is water-resistant with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish that causes rain and spray to bead up and roll off. It is intentionally breathable rather than fully waterproof — this allows trapped moisture and humidity to escape, preventing mildew growth and condensation that can damage your 2260 Bay Rider's interior.
The 2260FS is a forward-seating variant of the standard 2260 Bay Rider, adding a bow seating area for comfort cruising. Both share the same ribbed flat-bottom skiff hull, 8'4\" beam, and 10-inch draft. The T-Top cover fits the standard 2260 Bay Rider with the factory T-Top installed.
The 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric is available in Navy, Black, and Charcoal. If you upgrade to the Sunbrella acrylic option, you'll have access to an expanded color palette including additional shades and accent colors. All colors are solution-dyed, meaning the pigment is embedded in the fiber rather than applied to the surface, so they resist fading far longer than surface-dyed alternatives.
Shipping is a flat rate per cover to anywhere in the continental United States. Orders typically ship within 1 to 2 business days. The cover arrives folded in a compact package that's easy to store until your next trip to the ramp.

Ken Craft 2260 Bay Rider T-Top Boat Cover — Mid-Size Skiff Protection for Skinny-Water Anglers

The Ken Craft 2260 Bay Rider is a 22-foot ribbed flat-bottom skiff built in Wilson, North Carolina by one of the state’s longest-running family-owned boat manufacturers. At 22′ LOA with an 8’4″ beam, a dry weight of 2,550 lbs, and a 35-gallon fuel tank powering up to 200 horsepower on a 25″ transom, the 2260 Bay Rider is the mid-size workhorse of Ken Craft’s Skiff Series. It drafts just 10 inches of water — the same ultra-shallow figure as the smaller 2060 — meaning this boat accesses the same backwater marshes, oyster bars, and tidal creeks while giving you two extra feet of deck space and a wider beam for stability. Ken Craft’s “No Wood, No Rot” all-composite construction uses fiberglass throughout the hull, stringers, and transom with zero wood components, and our custom-fitted T-Top cover for the 2260 Bay Rider matches that commitment to longevity. The cover is pattern-cut to fit the hull’s exact dimensions, protecting the helm console, leaning post, rod holders, and all interior surfaces from UV exposure, salt spray, rain, and debris. For on-the-water sun protection, explore our boat shade kits designed for center consoles of every size.

Built Around the 2260’s Expanded Skiff Deck

This cover wraps beneath the T-Top hardtop and drapes to the rubrail on all sides, with reinforced cutouts engineered to fit precisely around the T-Top support legs. The 2260 Bay Rider’s forward casting platform, center console with integrated 22-gallon livewell, and aft fishing station are all enclosed beneath a taut, fitted canopy secured by adjustable strap-and-buckle tie-downs. The 8’4″ beam gives this skiff noticeably more interior room than the 2060, and the cover accounts for every inch of that added width. One person can install the cover in under five minutes with no tools — drape, align, strap, done. The flat-bottom hull makes the 2260 one of Ken Craft’s most-trailered models, and the cover is fully reinforced for highway-speed towing so your skiff stays protected in transit. Solution-Dyed Fabric That Outlasts Carolina Saltwater Seasons

Ken Craft has been building rot-proof composite hulls in eastern North Carolina since 1975, and boats from their 53,000-square-foot Wilson facility are scattered across every coastal waterway from the Outer Banks to the Florida Keys. Our 9oz solution-dyed marine fabric delivers 5 to 7 years of UV and weather resistance with water-repellent, mildew-resistant performance — exactly the kind of protection a saltwater skiff needs between trips. For owners who want the longest possible service life, our premium Sunbrella acrylic option extends durability to 8 to 10 years with the same breathable, solution-dyed construction that prevents moisture buildup underneath. Every seam is double-stitched with UV-resistant thread, and every cover ships with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. The 2260 Bay Rider is built to pole across grass flats and power through coastal bays for decades — this cover ensures the cockpit, cushions, and electronics stay in shape for every one of those seasons.
